When and how do the classes meet?

The TESS courses are completely online through the University of Arizona's Continuing and Professional Education program utilizing the D2L online learning platform. Each of the three courses is designed to take 4 weeks or approximately 20 hours per course. The primary way that participants will interact with one another and with the instructors is through online discussions that are part of each week's materials.

Where is information on what assignments are due each week?

Each of the courses is organized around a four week structure where each of the week has its own page, with list of activities, links to materials, and instruction for assignments. For all three courses, each weeks' tasks are designed to take a total of about 5 hours to complete.

What is the policy on due dates and completion of assignments?

All discussions and assignments have suggested completions dates, but all work must be completed by midnight (Arizona time) at the end of each week. Assignments are graded as pass/fail. Thoughtful and complete assignments submitted the deadline will receive a "pass." You must successfully complete 90% of the course assignments to receive credit for the course.

What do the courses cost and what will I receive for completing them?

Courses are $500 each (10% discount available for military and University of Arizona faculty, staff and students) and participants who successfully complete each course will receive a digital badge and will be eligible to receive 2 continuing education units (CEUs) per course. Limited scholarships and other course discounts may be available. Contact Connie Woodhouse (conniew1@arizona.edu) for more information.
